Agreed-Upon Procedures on Selected Balances

Independent procedures on specific balances or transactions — inventory counts, grant spending, or covenant calculations — when a full audit is not required but a third party needs verified facts.

Sometimes a bank, grantor, or joint-venture partner asks for confirmation of a narrow set of facts rather than a full financial statement audit. In an agreed-upon procedures engagement, we perform only the steps you and the requesting party define in writing, then report factual findings without expressing an opinion on the statements as a whole.

Common scopes include period-end inventory observation summaries, testing of a grant expenditure schedule, or recalculation of a debt covenant ratio from management’s worksheets. Fees follow the number of procedures and locations involved.
