Refunds

This policy applies to fees and deposits related to financial auditing and related professional engagements with Asahi Financial Audit Room. It does not cover products, retail goods, or software subscriptions, which we do not sell.

Eligibility

Refunds are considered when an engagement has not commenced, when we cancel for reasons within our control, or when a written engagement letter expressly provides a refund path. Website inquiry submissions alone do not create a paid contract.

Timeframe to request

Refund requests should be sent in writing to hello@cloudappify.digital within fourteen days of the event giving rise to the request (for example, our cancellation notice or your withdrawal before fieldwork).

Full and partial refunds

Full refund of unused deposits may apply if we cancel an accepted engagement before planning begins, or if independence issues discovered after acceptance prevent us from continuing and no substitute arrangement is agreed.

Partial refund may apply if you withdraw after planning has started but before substantive fieldwork: we retain a portion reflecting hours already incurred for scoping, independence checks, and planning, documented in a fee statement.

Non-refundable items

• Fees for fieldwork days already performed
• Third-party confirmation charges already incurred at your request
• Travel booked with your written approval for out-of-prefecture sites

Deposits

Deposits reserve fieldwork weeks on our calendar. If you cancel more than twenty-one days before the scheduled start of fieldwork, the unused deposit is refundable minus a modest administration amount stated in the engagement letter. Inside twenty-one days, the deposit is generally non-refundable because staffing cannot be reassigned at short notice.

Cancellation and rescheduling

Either party may propose a new fieldwork window. Rescheduling with at least fourteen days’ notice is usually accommodated without additional fee if capacity exists. Repeated short-notice changes may attract a rescheduling charge.

No-shows

If key client personnel are unavailable for agreed interviews or inventory attendance without timely notice, time held may be billed and is not refundable.

Work already started

Once substantive testing or observation has begun, fees for completed procedures remain payable. We will not issue an auditor’s report if the engagement is terminated midstream; work product already delivered (such as interim query lists) remains subject to confidentiality terms in the engagement letter.

Process and timing

Exceptions

Mandatory consumer protections under Japanese law, where applicable, take precedence over this policy. Engagement letters may contain additional terms tailored to a specific statutory audit or agreed-upon procedures assignment.
