How we work

The engagement path from first call to signed report

Financial auditing is seasonal work. This page shows how Asahi Financial Audit Room sequences a statutory engagement so your close calendar and our fieldwork can meet without chaos.

Team discussing documents around a sunlit meeting table

Week −8 to −6

Scoping conversation

We confirm the reporting framework, number of entities, inventory sites, and known problem areas. You receive a draft fee and a preliminary request list — not a generic brochure.

Week −5 to −3

Engagement letter and planning

Independence checks, materiality discussion, and risk assessment workshops with finance. Significant estimates and related parties are named early.

Year-end window

Fieldwork and observation

Teams test balances, attend counts when required, and raise queries while evidence is still fresh. Management answers in writing for items that affect the opinion.

After fieldwork

Reporting and governance letters

Draft findings go to those charged with governance. The auditor’s report is signed when unresolved matters are cleared and subsequent events are reviewed.

What we ask you to prepare

  • Trial balance and draft financial statements
  • Bank, receivable, and payable reconciliations
  • Fixed-asset roll-forward and inventory summaries
  • Board minutes and significant contracts for the period
  • Related-party listing tied to ledger accounts

Where this path leads next

If the sequence matches your year-end needs, open the statutory audit page for inclusions, exclusions, and fee basis — or write to us with your reporting date.
